The idea behind junior golf at Cockermouth Golf Club is to encourage better swings, more fun, and, ideally, a lifelong enjoyment of the game.

So..How Do We Make Golf Accessible for Kids?
Low Membership Fees
We charge a nominal fee for junior golfers. Under 14’s pay just £35 for an entire year of golf and 1st year any age under 18. Students between the age of 14 & 18 pay only £60.
Free to Use Golf Clubs
We have a shedload & we do mean a shedload of junior golf clubs so there is no need to buy any for new junior golfers. Again our motivation here is to make participation as easy as possible.
Shorter Tees
We have blue tees which make the course playable for even the very young.
Flexible Play
We want kids playing golf – not just signing up then not playing – to use that’s not success. Kids are the future of the great game of golf. That’s why we offer a free trial & free to use clubs. Beyond that we offer complete flexibility in terms of access.
Optional Coaching
We have optional formal coaching by an Advanced PGA professional available.
