What a great experience sponsoring this year’s Cockermouth Golf Club’s Mixed Open competition again this year. The club and staff made it a day to remember and once again the course was beautifully presented from tee to green for all those who took part.

Many thanks to Cockermouth G.C. for allowing us the hold the 6th Aspatria RUFC Golf Open.
A brilliant turn out with teams travelling from as far as Yorkshire and Lancashire ( who are coming back)
The Club and staff were great to work with from start to finish, the course was in great condition.
We have already reserved Saturday 27th July for the 2024 event

Mayor of Cockermouth, Andrew Semple at the Town Hall with the winners of the Mayor’s Charity event in April 2023, Adam Bailiff and Mike Graham. The lads have the distinction of being the first names on the Shield which will be presented to all future winners of the annual mayor’s competition. Fittingly, Mike Graham’s grandmother Mary Graham was a former Mayor of Cockermouth and a great person who I knew very well. Cockermouth Golf Club has helped raise over £10,000 for local charities since it began to support the annual tournament 5 years ago – a true community club!

We were delighted to be asked to sponsor Cockermouth Golf Club’s Seniors Open competition and arrived to a lovely reception from club and committee members alike with everyone being extremely warm and friendly. It was my first visit to the club and I was hugely impressed with the beautiful views from across the course.
